Goal: Ad-Savvy Kids

Advertising is all around us, and much of it is targeted at kids ages eight to twelve. The Federal Trade Commission has created Admongo, a website with family activities and a fun online game to help kids answer three key critical thinking questions:
  • Who's responsible for the ad?
  • What is the ad actually saying?
  • What does it want you to buy, do, or think?

Check it out at http://www.admongo.gov/ and help your young one parse those pitches. I learned a lot myself just by reading the glossary!
