One of my favorite books when I was a child was The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. I just loved the short pages with the holes in the center representing what the caterpillar ate. For some reason I thought these aspects made the book extra special. I also adored all of the pieces of food the caterpillar ate through. I wished I could have eaten through all that food too! (I still do!)

Favorite Book Fridays: The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Welcome to our new series of posts called "Favorite Book Fridays"! Each friday a youth services staff member will post info about their favorite children's or teen book. It will be really fun to see a wide variety of books posted here.
One of my favorite books when I was a child was The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. I just loved the short pages with the holes in the center representing what the caterpillar ate.
